PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Assists the plant (location) manager with the supervision and leadership of the operations of the assigned location including personnel, scheduling, logistics, product handling, application services, and customer satisfaction. Responsible for the dispatching and coordinating agronomy products, administrative support and daily operational duties at the location.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHP
Provides leadership and assists with the supervision of operators, ag operations, administrative assistants, and to all other assigned production personnel.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Receives customer orders and generates delivery tickets for all products shipped from the plant.
Coordinates and dispatches spray applicators, bulk dry and liquid fertilizer applicators and deliveries.
Assists in the operation and administration of the Ag-Vance dispatch and billing module. Will include dispatching, billing, report generation, coordinates inventory records, reconciles inventory variances, and posts inventory transactions.
Answers phone and communicates with location personnel to resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Assists Manager with supervision, scheduling of all operations, scheduling service equipment, and personnel at the assigned location.
Leads personnel to follow all safe operating procedures and regulations.
Responsible for the inventory control and turns in application records on a daily basis. Assures all product is accounted for with either an invoice or delivery ticket.
Develops or assists and applies the skills necessary to hire, supervise, lead, and develop a staff of assigned employees.
Assists Manager in ordering and maintains all bulk dry raw materials, and chemical input ingredients necessary to complete a given production period.
Creates blend sheets for loader / mixer operator based on daily production schedules for general fertilizer products as well as pesticide combination products.
Works together with the Location Manager in managing budgeted expenses, payroll, and overtime costs and implementation of business plans that maximize location profitability.

May be required to serve on the location Safety Committee.
Communicates professionally and provides optimal customer service.
Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.
Must be able to adapt & utilize technology vital to operations to enhance business processes.
Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires an Associate's Degree in agricultural discipline, or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of agronomy operations related work experience or farming experience to demonstrate knowledge to effectively assist in the management of the assigned facilities and personnel.
Must be able to obtain and maintain all applicable certifications, licenses, and permits, to include a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant to meet seasonal demands.
Prefer an understanding of GROWMARK agronomy and/or energy operations.
Understanding and experience with production scheduling, inventory management, equipment maintenance, operation records, and expense control.
Occasionally exposed or required to:
* Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, snow, ice, etc.)
* Noisy conditions
* Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
* May be required to work at varying heights
* Lift 51 - 70 lbs.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
