Job SummaryNew York Water Tours is looking for a licensed AssistantPlumber:New York Water Tours is seeking a skilled plumber who will install and maintain systems such as potable water, sewage and draining in plumbing systems and other systems including but not limited to: inspecting and repairing pipes (PVC, Black, Stainless Steel, Pex). The plumber will be reporting to various New York Water Tours locations both on land and on water.ResponsibilitiesCut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)Install and maintain water supply systemsLocate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.)Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systemsInstall underground sanitary, drainage, and water supply piping systemsCut pipes and transport to construction locations where they are requiredUtilize hand tools in fitting of valves, couplings and components for tanks, pumps or other plumbing systemDig trenches/install pipes and piping fixtures for water or sewage systemsMount hangers and brackets on walls to provide support for pipesMeasure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes to required angles using measurement toolsInspect plumbing systems to identify issues and initiate repairsRequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift 50 lbs over headMust be willing to Work up to 12 hour shiftsMust be willing to work on holidays and weekendsProven experience as a plumberSolid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildingsWorking knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliancesAbility to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)Good communication and interpersonal skillsFriendly with a great deal of patienceGood physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spacesJob Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offSchedule:10 hour shift12 hour shiftHolidaysNight shiftWeekends as neededExperience:Plumbing: 5 years (Required)License/Certification:Plumbing License (Required)Driver License (Required)Ability to Relocate:New York, NY 10014: Relocate before starting work (Required)#J-18808-Ljbffr
