- 18+ years old
- 2+ years of experience in lifeguarding
- Experience in management
- Experience in using, handling, and storing chemicals
- Valid pool operator certifications (CPO) or up-to-date experience
- Current lifeguard, CPR, and first aid certifications
- Lifeguard Management certification
- Availability to work all holidays and holiday weekends, plus special social events during the season
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mathematical and accounting skills

Work ScheduleThis seasonal full or part-time leadership position works four shifts per week for a total of about 25-40 hours per week and has a variety of shifts that change throughout the season around our operations times.A Day in the Life of an Assistant Pool ManagerAs an Assistant Pool Manager, you play a vital role in the functionality of our company. Under the direct supervision of the general manager, you supervise the total operation of the recreational facility, including the swimming pool, snack bar, picnic area, and sports area. Using your leadership skills, you assist the general manager in supervising approximately 75 seasonal workers, including lifeguards, cashiers, snack bar attendants, maintenance workers, and contracted workers. As part of the management team, you help schedule staff, maintain timesheets and hourly records, and perform employee evaluations.Additionally, you play an important role in supporting our swim and dive teams. You do so by assisting with setting up and breaking down swim meets and arranging for and supervising lifeguards. Our swim and dive teams are a big part of our facility, and you are always available during swim and dive practices.You lend a hand wherever needed, so your days are never the same. You collect, count, and record receipts while keeping accurate records of all financial transactions. Supervise and train all lifeguard staff. If the snack bar manager is unavailable, you oversee the opening procedures, closing procedures, and normal daily functions of the snack bar. When directly in charge of the pool, you perform all the pool manager's supervisory functions and keep it clean and ready for use. In addition to changing the pool filters, this includes properly using and storing the required chemicals. There are times when you work odd hours or are needed to be on call.
