Job Description:
The Assistant Principal must be able to consistently and successfully perform all essential functions of the position.
  • Oversee daily operations for school-age classrooms at Summit Central
  • Plan and oversee long-term operations of school-age classrooms at Summit Central
  • Supervise and evaluate staff
  • Assist with efforts to ensure educational accountability
  • Maintain the rights of individual children being served
  • Assist with student admission and discharge
  • Participate in strategic planning activities
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of university affiliations
  • Assist with fiscal accountability
  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Master's Degree or PhD in Special Education or related field; minimum of 2 years' experience in a direct clinical or educational experience with children or adults with developmental disabilities preferably in an educational setting; training and experience in the use of evidence-based practice with particular emphasis on methods of applied behavior analysis.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:NYS certification in School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Leader (SDL).Preferred Board Certified Behavior Analyst.First Aid and SCIP-R certificationSCHEDULE: Monday thought Friday 8am-3:30pmSALARY RANGE: Annualization starting at $62,000
