Job Description:
The Assistant Principal must be able to consistently and successfully perform all essential functions of the position.
Oversee daily operations for school-age classrooms at Summit CentralPlan and oversee long-term operations of school-age classrooms at Summit CentralSupervise and evaluate staffAssist with efforts to ensure educational accountabilityMaintain the rights of individual children being servedAssist with student admission and dischargeParticipate in strategic planning activitiesAssist with the development and maintenance of university affiliationsAssist with fiscal accountabilityEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Master's Degree or PhD in Special Education or related field; minimum of 2 years' experience in a direct clinical or educational experience with children or adults with developmental disabilities preferably in an educational setting; training and experience in the use of evidence-based practice with particular emphasis on methods of applied behavior analysis.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:NYS certification in School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Leader (SDL).Preferred Board Certified Behavior Analyst.First Aid and SCIP-R certificationSCHEDULE: Monday thought Friday 8am-3:30pmSALARY RANGE: Annualization starting at $62,000
