Duties
* Lead parent meetings regarding student behavior and/or attendance.
* Actively supervise the school events to which they are assigned.
* Assign and monitor the completion of issued consequences.
* Provide counsel and guidance to students regarding academic, personal, and behavioral issues.
* Resolve conflicts between students, teachers, and parents or any combination thereof.
* Keep accurate records through the use of communications and attendance logs.
* Organize and lead class meetings throughout the year.
* Lead meetings with students and stakeholders to discuss policies, activities, learning, or behavior issues such as student handbook committee and Crisis Management Team
* Assists in the development and maintenance of a program/philosophy of school discipline which creates and preserves an environment where students can reach their potential.
* Assists in the development and implementation of safety and emergency plans.
* Participates in team meetings by bringing forth students of concern and intervention ideas.
* Help the principal and other staff determine alternative placement if necessary.
* Evaluate teachers and support staff.
* Participate in ongoing professional development in the areas of teaching and learning.
* Assists the principal in general administration of the schools and serves as principal when the principal is absent.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited institution with certification in administration and supervision (Type 75 certificate), or General Administrative Endorsement
A minimum of three years successful teaching experience, or related experience
Salary/Benefits
Commensurate with experience.
