The Cookware Company is currently seeking an Assistant Product Manager (Hard Goods) to join the dynamic Small Kitchen Appliances team!

The ideal candidate is highly organized, pays close attention to details and has excellent communication skills. Experience in product development and with latest trends in kitchen appliances is beneficial, but not required.

This position will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day processes related to development, packaging, and coordination with other cross functional groups. The Assistant Product Manager is expected to assist with key elements of product creation such as item setups, retail packaging, instruction manuals, sample coordination, competitive analysis and sharing of information with internal and external partners (Marketing, Sales, Factory, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sourcing, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Entry level Product Development; support the development process by assisting the team in all kitchen electrics product categories.
  • Maintain and update product, pricing, supplier, and customer information in multiple documents using various platforms.
  • Be the lead with Customer Service on consumer feedback, replacements and returns in conjunction with Engineering and QC/QA Teams while tracking and communicating this information accordingly.
  • Help to create artwork for packaging, manual, and other support materials for existing and new product launches while maintaining the project timeline.
  • Conduct online and store market research to identify competitive landscapes that will inform white space opportunities and the development process.
  • Craft and evaluate surveys for internal product testing.
  • Regularly check online consumer reviews, raise awareness of potential concerns/improvements, and propose recommendations.
  • Help to manage departmental projects, samples, systems, and administrative work.
  • Track projects and update team on status and /or existing issues.
  • Update and/or request item setups and specifications on a timely & accurate basis, using internal platform.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, ideally in product development of small kitchen appliances.
  • Knowledge of small kitchen appliances and/or product development would be valuable but is not required.
  • Self-motivated, team player, organized, able to prioritize and handle multiple and various types of tasks.
  • Ability to manage and adhere to project timelines and tasks.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication.
  • Willing to work in multiple time zones as needed (China, Europe, US), inclusive of regular weekly meetings alternating at 8am and 8pm start times.
