Assistant Production ManagerKeep the department running smoothly by managing safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale (SQCDM). Your role is to spot and solve issues, improve processes, and communicate effectively with everyone from team members to senior management.Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce safety rules daily.
- Meet efficiency and production goals.
- Oversee quality control and troubleshoot issues.
- Monitor team activities and ensure compliance.
- Track and reduce scrap production.
- Handle reports and document reviews.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage the team, including hiring and performance management.Skills & Qualifications:
- Leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in production/assembly environments.
- Basic technical and mechanical knowledge.
- Flexibility and a results-driven attitude
Preferred strong knowledge of:
- Overhead cranes
- Mig welding and fabrication skills, if needed
- Power tools and equipment
- Resistance welding
- General mechanical and electrical skills
- Drawings and blueprints
- Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work overtime and travel as needed.
- Must hold a driver's license.
