The Physical Therapy Program in the School of Health Professions at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Assistant Professor (12MO). The successful candidate will:
* Serve as core faculty in the BS/DPT Program.
* Teach courses in neuromuscular PT track and other required curricula.
* Engage in research and its dissemination.
* Participate in faculty meetings, program governance, curriculum review, student recruitment, selection and advisement, and mentorship of student capstone projects.
* Render professional service to the program, university, community, and profession.
Required Qualifications:
* PhD, EdD, or DSc.
* New York State Physical Therapist Licensure.
* 5+ years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist.
* Strong neuromuscular physical therapy background.
* Strong organizational, collaborative, written and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Applicants who are enrolled in a PhD, EdD or DSc program or who can commence work on a PhD, EdD or DSc upon hire, will be considered.
* NSC or advanced degree in motor control/motor learning preferred.
