The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL) is seeking a dynamic teacher-scholar at the Assistant Professor level to join its top-rated program in August 2025. The department strives to maintain an inclusive and collegial working and learning environment for our faculty, staff, and students, and we welcome applicants who share our commitment to these values. Our new colleague will teach lecture and laboratory courses in the core curriculum, along with advanced elective courses in their areas of expertise. Applicants with expertise in analytical and/or environmental chemistry will be given special consideration. We seek a scholar to develop an active research program involving undergraduates. Laboratory research expertise, which may include interdisciplinary areas, is preferred. Our department and college maintain a large array of modern instrumentation resources, including research and teaching laboratories in the state-of-the-art Prairie Springs Science Center. Opportunities exist for substantial collaboration with UWL's River Studies Center and its new research vessel, as well as the US Geological Survey's Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center.
