Description

Clinical responsibilities and duties will, in general, include, but are not limited to: providing gynecological services to patients in the Ob/Gyn Clinics including Ob/Gyn Faculty Clinic, Specialist Clinic, ACC, Bossier clinic, Monroe Hospital, and both Labor and Delivery Units. The bulk of the 40-hour weekly minimum productivity will be spent in the care of patients at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport at 1541 Kings Highway, Shreveport, Ochsner LSU Health - St. Mary Medical Center at 915 Margaret Place, Shreveport, 2120 Bert Kouns, Shreveport, 1560 Irving Place, Shreveport, 2120 Airline Drive, Bossier City, 4864 Jackson St., Monroe, LA and assist with covering affiliated/contracted clinics across the greater metropolitan area.

Administrative Duties: As Director of Resident Research, for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the physician will lead all resident research activities in the department and attend all research related activities on site. The physician will be responsible for the development of seven (7) research projects at a minimum annually (IRB approved) and publish a minimum of 5 manuscripts annually with department residents and faculty named. The physician will also be required to lead the QI projects for Interns, meet once a month with the research group and provide research-focused lectures to residents every quarter.

Qualifications

The applicant must meet the following:

* Must be eligible for Louisiana medical licensure

* Must be board-certified or board-eligible with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
