Valley City State University Business Department invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty member to join our team.
Faculty in the Department of Business at Valley City State University embody a student-first philosophy. We are searching for like-minded team members to teach in the field of business administration including courses in accounting, management, marketing, agribusiness, human resources and computer applications. Preferred candidates will recognize the importance of bringing professional experiences and data analytics to the classroom.
This position is a nine-month contract with 80 percent teaching responsibilities and 20 percent service to the department, university, community, advising, professional development, and other responsibilities as needed. The typical teaching load is 24 credit hours per academic year (12 credit hours per academic semester) Teaching modalities include face-to-face, hybrid, and asynchronous online.

* Master's degree in a business-related discipline
Preferred Qualifications
* Desire to work in a student-focused environment.
* Professional-related work experience in a business field outside of academia
* Prior teaching experience in higher education
Compensation:
The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications and typically ranges from $47,000 to $52,000 annually pending experience and qualifications. This position is a 9-month, full-time position. In some cases, summer duties may be arranged through an additional contract.

Department of Business
The Department of Business offers Bachelor of Science Degrees in Business Administration, Business Education, and Business Process Integration Management and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Management. The Business Administration major offers concentrations in Agribusiness, Management and Human Resources, Managerial Accounting and Finance, and Marketing. We offer minors in Agribusiness, Business, Human Resources, Marketing and Business Software Applications as well as certificates in Business Management, Digital Marketing, Professional Sales, and Sports Marketing.
