The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor of Adolescence Education. The position will begin August 15, 2025.Job Responsibilities:Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate inclusive education courses such as social and historical foundations of Education, social studies methods, and diversity, equity, and inclusive focused courses. Additional responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate advising, service (including committee assignments), and research.Education / Experience:Required Qualifications:Tenure Track Assistant Professor: Ph.D. or Ed.D in social studies teacher education, curriculum studies, or foundations of education, or in a related fieldVisiting Professor: Master's Degree in social studies teacher education, curriculum studies, or foundations of education, or in a related fieldTeaching Certification: Social Studies Education in AdolescenceExperience with inclusive practices and culturally-responsive teaching at the adolescence level, grades 7-12Minimum 2 years classroom teaching experiencePreferred Qualifications:Additional Certification: Special Education and/or Literacy EducationExperience teaching in higher educationSkills in instructional technology and teaching in hybrid/online modalitiesJob Type: Full-timeSalary / Hourly Range: Tenure Track: $59,500.00 - $70,000.00 per year; Non-Tenure Track: $53,400.00 - $62,800.00 per yearSt. John Fisher University is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action institution.
