The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr., School of Education at St. John Fisher University, Rochester, New York is committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, advisement, and service. The Inclusive Education Department in the School of Education is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor of Adolescence Education. The applicant is open for a tenure track or a visiting/term position depending on the qualifications of the finalist. The position will begin August 15, 2025. Of particular interest are candidates with certifications in areas such as special education and/or literacy, and experience with hybrid/online modalities, and a commitment to and experiences with culturally responsive and inclusive education practices at the adolescence level. Opportunities for administrative responsibilities are possible.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate inclusive education courses such as social and historical foundations of Education, social studies methods, diversity, equity, and inclusive focused courses, developmental and general methods. Teaching courses in the liberal arts, general education core curriculum may be required. Additional responsibilities include the following: undergraduate and graduate advising; service (including department, school and university committee assignments), and research.
