We seek a candidate who has a Ph.D. in biological chemistry, chemical biology or an allied field who can teach a variety of courses including Biological Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Introductory Chemistry I and II, and Organic Chemistry I and II. Other teaching duties will include non-majors science courses or first-year seminars. The successful candidate will also establish a productive research program that involves undergraduate students. The proposed research can be in any area of biological chemistry or chemical biology, as broadly defined.Trinity College is located in the city of Hartford, the capital city of Connecticut. The College is set in an urban environment and is in close proximity to a number of biomedical research institutions, including Hartford Hospital, the University of Connecticut Medical Center and the Jackson Laboratories. The Trinity Chemistry Department offers majors in Chemistry and Biochemistry, with two tracks in Biochemistry (Traditional and Neurobiochemistry). The department also possesses excellent, modern, research instruments available for use by students and faculty.
