- Teaching coursework in costume design and other areas as needed; supervising and mentoring student designers; contributing to the ongoing development of graduate and undergraduate design/technology curricula
- Designing for both the LSU Theatre academic season and Swine Palace professional productions; assisting the costume shop manager with construction and management of costume shop as needed
- Maintaining an ongoing professional presence at the regional and national levels; and contribute to the research, artistic, and educational environment at a Research I, flagship university
- Provide service and participate in faculty governance
Required Qualifications:
- Education Level: MFA
- Specific Degree: Costume Design
- Degree Substitute: an MFA in costume design or equivalent professional experience
- Professional experience; excellent teaching, mentoring, and communication skills; proficiency in collaborative process; and knowledge of costume crafts (including dyeing and painting) and makeup.
