Fairmont State University's College of Business & Aviation invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Finance to begin in Fall 2025.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Finance, both in the classroom and online. Preference will be given to those who can teach in multiple areas of finance.
Responsible for curriculum development, outcomes assessment, academic advising, internship supervision, community outreach, committee work and other activities important to the College of Business & Aviation and the University.
Minimum Required Education
Doctoral degree in Finance or other finance related degree from an accredited University.

Minimum Required Qualifications
* Evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching and other scholarly endeavors. Annual course load of 24 credit hours in finance, statistics, or related courses expected.
* Must demonstrate interest in pursuing research in the field of finance and have evidence of (or potential for) successful scholarly publication in peer-reviewed journals.
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence and service to support the mission of the College of Business & Aviation as well as that of the institution.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and others in a collaborative, constructive manner.
* Demonstrated ability to build connections with students, alumni, and businesses.
* Mentor students with the goal of preparing them for professional and/or graduate school.
Required Quals Summary

Preferred Qualifications
* Nationally recognized finance certification is highly desirable.
* Professional experience in finance-related positions is strongly preferred.
* Creative and effective teaching experience at an accredited institution of higher education is strongly preferred.
* Familiarity with online course development/delivery and distance education is strongly preferred.
* Quality Matters certification for online courses.
* Grant writing experience and interest.
