Candidates must possess an earned master's degree with a major in Nursing from an accredited institution, hold or be eligible for an unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in South Carolina, and have a minimum of 3 years of clinical practice experience as a registered nurse. Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in nursing or closely related field (ABD or equivalent considered). The highly qualified candidate has experience teaching nursing in classroom, clinical, laboratory, and simulation environments. BSN teaching experience is preferred. Candidates are responsible for assigned teaching (e.g. classroom, clinical, laboratory, simulation), participation in curriculum development and assessment, mentoring undergraduate students, establishing a record of scholarly activities, and professional service/outreach. Excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills are expected.
