Job DetailsJob Location 1100 Rockhurst Road - Kansas City, MO Education Level Doctorate Degree Job Category Health Care Description Applications are now being accepted for a full-time faculty member in the Department of Occupational Therapy and Health Science within the Saint Luke's College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Rockhurst University. Rockhurst's Occupational Therapy program is known for quality teaching, using a broad range of active learning, collaborative faculty/student interactions, and a mission focused on learning, leadership, and service. Rockhurst OT graduates are commended for excellence in academics, professionalism, service, and leadership. Rockhurst University boasts multiple innovative teaching and learning spaces, including the Seelos Simulation Center. Prospective applicants should demonstrate expertise in adult upper extremity rehabilitation and orthotics, neurorehabilitation, and geriatrics. Previous research experience is recommended. Minimum requirements include: earned doctoral degree (OTD, PhD, EdD, DHSc, etc.) accredited by a USDE-recognized accrediting body; 3+ years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist; previous teaching experience; and eligibility for licensure in the state of Missouri. Responsibilities will include teaching in the candidate's area(s) of expertise and consistent with the department's curriculum design, mentoring students on scholarly and doctoral capstone projects, and participating in university communities. Salary and rank will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
