The Division of Global Cultures in the College of Arts and Sciences at Wilkes University invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Philosophy position, to begin Fall 2025. AOS: open, AOC: ethics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory philosophycourses, including courses in applied ethics, as well as upper-level courses serving philosophy majors and with the potential to attract students from outside of philosophy. Preference given for individuals that can contribute to the University's new Africana Studies minor program.We are seeking an individual committed to undergraduate teaching, with demonstrated excellence, or evidence of potential for excellence, in teaching, and a record of research and scholarship appropriate for their career stage. Teaching load is 4/3 with service and advising expectations. A Ph.D. in philosophy in hand by the time of appointment is required.
