This position carries a 3/3 teaching load. The successful candidate will teach Introduction to Theatrical Design, Stagecraft and a design elective in their area of expertise. The position will carry one three-credit download for all theatrical designs in the fall semester, as well as one three credit download for all theatrical designs in the spring. The individual will also serve as Production Manager for the NU theatre season throughout the entire academic year, counting as one three credit download.Responsibilities include:-Creation of appropriate technical paperwork and supporting research for the area of design and production-Management and supervision of student crews-Recruitment and mentoring of students-Student advisement-Oversee internships and outside networking for students-Department and University service-Participate in curriculum developmentAs Production Manager:-consult with artistic director while apportioning preliminary budgets per show-schedule and facilitate all production and design meetings, and facilitate all other relevant communications
