**Major/Essential Functions:**
+ Provides patient care in the areas of ophthalmology in hospital and outpatient settings
+ Instructs and supervises medical students and surgery residents
+ Performs retina surgery, injections, trauma, lasers and emergency ocular management
+ Conducts clinical research and/or produces scholarship related to ophthalmology
+ Provides on-call coverage as scheduled
+ Ensures compliance and HIPAA and billing regulations
+ Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
+ Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Statement of Faculty Professional Responsibility

**Required Qualifications:**
+ M.D. / D.O.
+ Successful completion of ACGME-accredited Ophthalmology resident training program
+ Successful completion of fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery
+ Texas Medical License or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
