The Department of Hospitality and Sport Business Management in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware invites applications for a tenure-track position in sport management, specifically in sport analytics. The beginning date for the position is September 1, 2025.

Candidates must possess a Ph.D in sport management, business analytics, or a related discipline and pursue a high-quality research program with the objective of publishing in top-tier journals in the field. Candidates must display expertise in sport analytics, specifically in the realm of sport business analytics and business intelligence. Candidates should display skills in areas such as statistical analysis, forecasting, programming, and evidence-based decision making for sport organizations.

Candidates must also demonstrate potential for high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Primary teaching responsibility will be in sport business analytics, at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Additional teaching responsibilities may be for courses in event management, sport marketing, international sport management, or other sport management topics. The initial teaching load will consist of three courses per year, and junior faculty are given minimal service requirements.

The Department of Hospitality and Sport Business Management is housed within the Lerner College and offers degree programs in Sport Management, Hospitality and Sport Business Analytics, Hospitality Industry Management, and Hospitality Business Management.
