Schedule: 72-80 hours / two week pay period; Primarily Monday - Friday ; 1 or more shifts per week on the floor; participates in facility staffing rotation with Program Manager
Assistant Program Coordinator
Eagle Crest Communities is seeking an Assistant Program Coordinator to join the team at Hearten House I & II in La Crosse, WI. The successful candidate will assist the Program Manager with staff supervision and facility operations. The Assistant Program Coordinator will lead a vibrant activities program for the two communities.
What You'll Do
* Partner with the Program Manager and Resident Care staff for daily execution of activities, including leading activities on a regular basis
* Responsible for the development, coordination, and oversight of activities for our Hearten House I & II residents. These two Memory Care communities are next door to one another in La Crosse. You will facilitate 2-4 activity programs daily.
* Create a monthly activity schedule and have supplies and instructions prepared for use on proper days by Resident Care staff who assist with and lead activities
* Volunteer coordination duties as assigned by Program manager
* Perform Resident Care duties and assist with Resident Care staff supervision, including assistance with hiring, training, and scheduling
* Assist with new admissions, care conferences, supplies ordering, and other daily operations activities of the community.
* Communicate daily with coworkers, residents, families/representatives and occasionally with providers.

What You'll Need
* A genuine interest in working with the elderly and the ability to maintain familiarity with each participant's unique likes and dislikes, needs and abilities, a must
* Possess supervisory/leadership qualities and abilities, time management and situation assessment abilities
* Must be willing to be flexible with your time to fill in shifts as needed, and rotate on call for scheduling needs.
* Direct Care experience and/or Recreation Therapy education or experience is preferred
* Valid driver's license with a responsible driving record required
* Basic computer skills that allow you to navigate programs in Microsoft Suite, the internet, scheduling software, eMAR and charting software, and other databases, as well as the ability to learn new programs as state and facility requirements change
* Must be at least 21 years of age and exhibit the capacity to respond to the needs of the residents and manage the complexity of a CBRF (See WI DHS 83)

* Pay is based on qualifications and previous experience
* We pay for high performance! We will review your wage at six months.
