Description
Comunilife Inc. is looking for anAssistant Program Directorfor its residential program in the Bronx, La Central. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Assistant Program Director is responsible for the administrative and clinical supervision of the program. The Assistant Program Director manages the case management and specialized support service delivery system for clients and oversees the establishing and maintaining of community linkages to enhance services. In the absence of the program director, assumes the responsibilities of that position. Essential Duties:
+ Manage program personnel in case management and support areas.
+ Establish and maintain program delivery models.
+ Develop and maintain linkages with other service agencies, community resources, and state/city liaisons.
+ Ensure that regulations and quality assurance indicators are achieved.
+ Maintain client records in a professional and confidential manner.
+ Serve as a member of the programs leadership team, shares information and participate in the general management of the program including personnel, fiscal and facilities.
+ Develop and market program services.
+ Manage program services for quality and consistency.
+ Participate in the management of community, funder and governmental relations and regulations.
+ Review and manage performance to contract and agency expectations; maintains data and reports as needed. Provide the programs statistics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to the Program Director for review. Discuss and develop strategies for all trends patterns identified in the statistical reports.
+ Oversee and provide weekly supervision to social services staff members. Leads staff meetings.
+ Maintain and collaborate with identified linkage agreements with appropriate CBOs and identify new untapped community resources to the Program Director.
+ Conduct team meetings for the case management staff re: care review, trends, education, community resources that demonstrate effective working relationships. Provide staff with relevant education and training.
+ Facilitate monthly tenant/residential/client meetings with the Program Director to ensure that client concerns are provided to administration and addressed in a timely manner.
+ Maintain compliance with all HR procedures and protocols in a timely manner and conduct preliminary interview for all vacant positions. This includes performance evaluations of all clinical staff members. Review and approval of staff payroll, and collaboration with the payroll department.
+ Facilitate individual and group counseling to residents.
+ Attend agency trainings and relevant trainings in the community that would provide vital information to enhance the delivery of services to clients.
+ Maintain quality improvement systems, which reflect program service provisions and attainment of contract requirements and goals.
+ Work jointly with the Program Director to develop various disciplines schedules and coordinate staff vacations to ensure adequate workforce coverage.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirement(s):
+ Graduate degree in Social Work; Public Administration; Business Administration or any related field
+ Ten (5) years of experience in the fields of mental health, substance abuse, homeless services, supportive housing and HIV/AIDS with at least 3 years in a management role
+ Strong administrative and social service delivery or related experience
+ Demonstrated experience in evaluating, monitoring and improving quality of services
+ Knowledge and hands-on experience in providing direct services related to the treatment and recovery of persons with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, serious mental illness, and homelessness
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency with MS Office and Google product suites
+ Ability to perform and manage in a team approach; excellent interpersonal skills
+ Ability to handle complex challenges and balance multiple demands on time and attention
+ Ability and willingness to perform all duties as workload necessitates
