Job Title: Assistant Program Manager (California Jobs First - Hybrid) Reports To: Program Director Department: Special Programs FLSA Status: Exempt Salary: 70,000 - 79,900Term: 24 months (Catalyst and Implementation Phase of CJF Program) Summary The Assistant Program Manager will support the Los Angeles County Collaborative's mission under the California Jobs First program to execute regional economic recovery and transition strategies. Key responsibilities include supporting stakeholder engagements, streamlining outreach initiatives, managing communication channels, assisting in data collection and distribution, grant and contract administration, monitoring performance and compliance, and preparing monthly progress and fiscal reports. The role involves implementing the final regional report, advising on strategic planning for capacity-building, community engagement, research, and recommending project improvement plans. The CJF program focuses on creating quality jobs in eco-friendly industries, enhancing opportunities for disadvantaged communities, and promoting businesses with sustainable and fair practices. Duties
  • Assist in managing and achieving program deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate records of program activities, participant progress, and outcomes.
  • Aid Sector Investment Coordinators in organizing workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
  • Provide administrative support to the Program Director, Program Managers, and Research Analyst.
  • Support CJF program initiatives, budgets, staff development, and reporting.
  • Assist in convening Steering Committee members, subcommittees, and outsourced vendors.
  • Support the Implementation and Catalyst strategies for engaging disinvested communities.
  • Contribute to planning efforts, grant applications, and reports for the State of California.
  • Assist Sector Coordinators with the LA Collaborative's engagement, technical assistance, and planning activities.
  • Host Catalyst and Implementation events in LA County's nine Service Planning Areas (SPAs).
  • Host bi-monthly virtual meetings and give periodic presentations for the LA Collaborative.
  • Prepare outreach materials and update the project website and email communications.
  • Manage updates for CJF public meetings, planning activities, and maintain an events calendar.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, E-mail, PowerPoint, and Salesforce (or other CRM system).
