Posting DetailsPosition Information Position Title Assistant Project Director Job Description Primarily responsible for providing direct administrative support to the Project Director which includes assisting with the management and the overall daily operation of the Mass Transit Program. This position is also required to assist with financial record keeping, monthly, quarterly and annual required MDOT reports coordination of meetings and conferences, and special projects as assigned. This position requires the ability to work with a diverse range of individuals including community partner, riders, visitors/guest and members of the staff.Required Qualifications Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Candidate must be able to work independently while demonstrating effective time management, organizational and planning skills. Experience with a public transit system handling the daily operations of service planning, accessible service provision, human service transportation coordination is required. at least two (2) years of experience at an independent decision-making level. Must be computer literate, must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and certify to comply with project's approved Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy and Plan. Have a good driving record as verified by the Mississippi Highway Patrol-MVR check. Possess the ability to interpret and issue operating policies. Comply with training requirements as mandated by the Mississippi Department of Transportation Public Transit Division.Bachelors Degree in Business or occupational related field preferred but will consider Associate Degree.
