Assistant Project Manager
One of our leading construction management clients in Tampa is seeking a motivated
Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of high-quality institutional, commercial, and residential projects. Our client specializes in delivering customized construction solutions, focusing on new builds and renovations, consistently exceeding client expectations.
The Assistant Project Manager plays an essential role in supporting project teams through various phases of construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout. The role involves assisting with budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and risk management, while ensuring compliance with project standards and deadlines. The Assistant Project Manager will also collaborate with senior team members and stakeholders, helping to drive project success by providing critical support in planning, execution, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project execution, including contract administration, procurement, scheduling, and budget tracking, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Support in the preconstruction planning phase, including gathering necessary documentation, assisting in risk assessment, and contributing to the development of strategies to mitigate potential risks.
- Help monitor project schedules and identify early-stage delays, coordinating with the team to implement corrective actions as needed.
- Facilitate bid reviews and procurement processes, ensuring timely purchases and alignment with project timelines and budgets.
- Work closely with subcontractors and vendors to maintain project flow, addressing any issues that may impact project performance.
- Assist with tracking project financials, including budget updates, invoicing, and monitoring cash flow to ensure timely payments to subcontractors and vendors.
- Support the preparation of reports and documentation, ensuring accurate tracking of project progress, change orders, and deliverables.
- Assist with the project closeout process, ensuring that all documentation is completed and that contractual obligations are met.
- Maintain clear and open communication with project stakeholders, contributing to strong client relationships and promoting a collaborative project environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in construction project management or a related support role.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
