POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Director of Construction and Store Planning, the Assistant Project Manager will support the successful delivery of retail store, shop-in-shop, pop-up, and office construction projects for Moncler and Stone Island, within the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. This role involves project coordination, budget tracking, vendor management, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. The ideal candidate aspires to develop a career in project management, is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Coordination

* Assist in managing construction projects from inception to handover/opening in collaboration with the Director of Construction and Store Planning, as well as the Headquarters team, ensuring adherence to specified timelines and budget constraints.

* Research and procure long lead materials for construction, including specified millwork, lighting, door hardware, and other items.

* Coordinate the secure delivery of materials, fixtures, finishes, and services to job sites.

* Monitor job site activities to ensure compliance with schedules, specifications, and quality standards.

* Manage graphics requests, approvals, fabrication, and installation for hoardings, barricades, lightboxes, and building facades.

* Identify and suggest improvements to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.

* Coordinate reinstatement work and surrender processes for store closures.

Budget and Financial Support

* Support the development and tracking of project budgets, including new store openings, special projects, and closures.

* Assist in preparing and processing purchase requests, purchase orders, and invoices while managing approval workflows.

* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to outline and manage project budgets.

* Ensure invoices accurately reflect contractual amounts and oversee adherence to payment schedules.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

* Solicit and review RFPs, vendor proposals, and contracts to ensure alignment with project requirements.

* Communicate with landlords, consultants, and authorities to obtain necessary permits and documentation.

* Coordinate tenant allowance collections and oversee closeout packages, lien waivers, and affidavits.

* Assist in defining internal routines and strengthening communication between retail teams and other support departments to ensure seamless project execution.

* Prepare visual documentation to support site visits, incorporating photographs, hand sketches, annotations on construction documents, and developing surveys as needed.

Documentation and Reporting

* Maintain organized and audit-ready project documentation in compliance with Company and local guidelines.

* Prepare reports on project progress, costs, and outcomes for internal stakeholders.

* Organization of site photographs.

Team

* Perform as a team player and participate in all activities contributing to the overall objectives of the department.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education

* Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.

Work Experience

* 2 years of experience in construction project management or retail development.

* Experience in retail, luxury retail, or a commercial setting is preferred.

Special Skills and Personal Attributes

* Professional presentation; able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all employees, and management, as well vendors, and contractors.

* Experience with sustainable building practices or LEED certification.

* Knowledge of standard retail MEP systems.

* Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and regulations.

* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

* Experience collaborating with vendors and consultants in the North America market.

* Proficient in reading technical drawings.

* Technologically adept with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (Cad and photoshop knowledge is a plus).

* Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills, and able to prioritize urgent and critical tasks with attention to detail.

* Willingness to travel to project sites as needed by various modes of transportation.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

* Familiarity with retail store design principles.

* Physical ability to perform occasional lifting and moving of equipment or supplies as needed.

* Fluency in Italian a plus but not required

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Moncler includes a reasonable estimate of the salary rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $70,000 to $90,000 per year.

In addition to competitive pay, the hired candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, paid parental leave, paid holidays, accrue up to 15 days of paid

vacation time, 2 personal days, employee discounts, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Moncler Corporate Office, located in the heart of Soho, Manhattan
