Your New Role: ADBC is seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Project Manager to support our project management team in delivering high-quality design-build projects. As an integral part of our team, you will assist in coordinating all aspects of project execution, from planning to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
  • Project Coordination:
    • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects.
    • Help develop project schedules, budgets, and plans.
    • Track project progress and update schedules and budgets as necessary.
  • Communication:
    • Maintain regular communication with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project alignment and address any issues that arise.
    • Prepare and distribute project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Site Management:
    • Support on-site project supervision to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
    • Coordinate with on-site personnel and subcontractors to resolve any issues that may impact the project timeline or budget.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date project files and records.
    • Help prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor and report on project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Budget and Cost Control:
    • Assist in tracking project expenses and managing the project budget.
    • Help process invoices, purchase orders, and change orders, ensuring all financial documentation is accurate and timely.
What You will Need:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience in construction project management, preferably in a design-build environment.
    • Related work experience in a similar role, and/or relevant certification or training in a related area
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam).
    • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Certifications:
    • : PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification is a plus.

The hourly wage for this position is $22 to $32 an hour DOE.
