Job DetailsJob Location Charlotte NC Cupped Oak - Matthews, NC DescriptionJob Summary: Liaison between the Project Manager and the activities of workers engaged in new construction Shingle roofing, metal roofing, gutter installation and maintenance of existing roofing systems by performing the following duties. Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • No direct reports but indirectly oversees subcontractors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Visits the project sites to determine if the scope of work is being followed.
  • Assist in ordering materials and ensure on time deliveries.
  • Inspect the quality of work performed by the sub-contractors.
  • Assist Project Manager to ensure on time completion of work.
  • Operates equipment such as forklifts.
  • Reviews orders for Metal/ Gutter jobs.
  • Attend weekly production and Staff meeting, and report on progress, quality and production activity for the week.
  • Sources and recruits Metal Crews.
  • Verifies orders (color, type, measuring)
  • Pre-inspection and post-inspection of job
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Interprets job orders and reassigns duties if necessary.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
  • Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of construction industry safety and health laws, regulations and policies.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 3 years of construction experience.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Technical knowledge of roofing highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50-70 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to climb ladder and traverse roof at times.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk or in a vehicle, and working on a computer.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and perform moderate travel.
