What You'll Do:
- Project Support: Assist the Project Manager in the planning, execution, and monitoring of mechanical projects, ensuring all phases are completed successfully.
- Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, contracts, meeting notes, and progress reports.
- Communication: Facilitate communication between project stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Site Coordination: Conduct regular site visits to monito progress, ensure compliance with project specifications, and address any issues that arise.
- Budget Tracking: Assist in monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and preparing cost reports to keep projects within financial limits.
- Quality Assurance: Support the implementation of quality control processes to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Problem-Solving: Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.
- Reporting: Compile and present project status updates to the Project Manager and other stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and areas needing attention.
QualificationsWhat You'll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in project management or engineering roles, preferably withing the mechanical contracting or construction industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and piping, understanding of relevant codes and regulations.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of interacting professionally with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Driving Requirements:
- Must have a valid Virginia driver's license.
- Must have positive points on state driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
- Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
- All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with regular site visits to monitor project progress.
- May require occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
