Responsibilities
-Expand knowledge of project folders, cost control, estimating, and management systems
-Interpret project documents (contracts, plans, specifications, change orders) to provide accurate cost estimates
-Perform quantity take-offs using on-screen takeoff tools as needed
-Prepare change order cost and pricing for approval within policies
-Communicate with field personnel and vendors regarding stocking plans
-Visit active projects to broaden knowledge of field methods and systems
-Apply technical knowledge of products to prepare control estimates using current estimating tools
-Order, track, and manage materials within established policies
-Communicate with field personnel to monitor and track project schedules, production, and issues
-Assist with field reports, projections, and month-end reporting
-Handle accounting tasks, including invoice, requisition, and payroll approvals
-Communicate effectively with clients and represent the company at external meetings
-Participate in marketing activities and other duties as assigned
Requirements
-B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Finance, or Accounting preferred
-Strong analytical skills
-Effective communication skills (oral and written)
-Sound judgment and decision-making ability
-Ability to grow with the company
-Must have own vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance
-Successful completion of training program
