Assistant Project Manager

This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a highly reputable general contractor located in Indianapolis focusing on commercial and renovation projects. This company has been in business for over 75 years. The position is open due to company growth. They pride themselves in maintaining longstanding relationships with owners, architects, engineers and other contactors above all else. They support and are a part of over 10 charitable and non-profit organizations in Indiana.

Responsibilities:

• Client Communication: Act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

• Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.

• Generating Reports: Prepare detailed reports to track project progress and performance.

• Submittal, RFI, and Subcontract Processing: Manage the submission of documents, requests for information, and subcontractor agreements.

• Building and Maintaining Project Schedules: Develop and update project schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and meeting minutes.

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the project and develop mitigation strategies to address them.

Salary/Benefits:

• Up to $80,000 depending upon experience

Requirements:

• Construction Experience: Experience working in the construction industry or a Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office products, strong interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks.

• Efficiency and Task Management: Ability to multi-task, work efficiently, and be task-oriented.

• Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities
