Job Description:
Position OverviewThe Assistant Project Manager (Traveling) will support the project management team in overseeing construction projects for federal clients. This role involves coordinating activities, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations while traveling to various project sites.Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects.
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Manage project budgets and assist in tracking expenses.
  • Prepare and review change orders and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with federal agencies such as USACE, NAVFAC, and GSA.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist in risk management and problem resolution during project execution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, preferably in federal construction.
  • Familiarity with federal construction regulations and agencies such as USACE, NAVFAC, and GSA.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting and change order processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.
