Job Description:

*Assistant Restaurant Food and Beverage Manager*

Bell Bank Park has an excellent and immediate opening for an Assistant Restaurant Manager at Bell Bank Park Powered by Legacy Sports USA opening in January of 2022. Bell Bank Park is a 320-acre multi-use family, sport and entertainment complex of outdoor and indoor team athletic facilities geared toward high-energy entertainment and sports in Mesa, Arizona

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Restaurant Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for supporting the Restaurant General Manager for all staff and aspects of Food & Beverage for the restaurant and bar and support of other Food and Beverage operations throughout the venue and acting as the Restaurant General Manager in his/her absence.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assists in developing work plans including scheduling and ordering and assigns appropriate duties to subordinates.

* Oversees restaurant and bar locations to ensure consistency in all areas, client satisfaction and quality control standards, including presentation of items in the restaurant and bar areas.

* Assists in inspecting food service facilities to ensure that equipment and building meets requirements of state and local health laws and internal regulations.

* Assists with creation of Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events.

* Assists with analysis of information concerning facility operations such as daily food sales, patron attendance, and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of facility operations.

* Assists in ensuring safe work practices.

* Works within guidelines for food and labor cost.

* Assists in developing strong beverage control with cost and labor analysis.

* Assists in responsibilities including interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance.

* Responsible for accurate and detailed alcohol inventory and all applicable laws and policies.

* Attends weekly management meetings; contributes information regarding F&B events.

* Supervises close and opening of F&B shifts.

* Works extended/irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

* Assists in providing support and assistance to the Director of Food & Beverage as needed.

* Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Food & Beverage Management or related field preferred.

* Minimum 1 year of experience in management or supervisory level position in Restaurant/Beverage training or equivalent combination of education and experience through restaurant operations.

* Prior supervisory experience required.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as BEO's, Work Orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software and have the capacity to learn new programs as needed.

* Strong hospitality orientation

* Good work ethic and attention to detail

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks

* Ability to travel to other OVG Facilities.

* ServSafe Certified within 120 days of employment

* Arizona Title IV Basic and Management Training Certificate within 120 days of employment

* Must have ability to work a carried and flexible shift
