**Description**

The Assistant Software Developer contributes to our client's success by assisting in creating solutions to business challenges. The Assistant Software Developer role assists with designing, coding, testing and analyzing software programs and applications. This role will also assist with analyzing software errors and provide status reports for enterprise applications.

+ Assists developers, analysts, and designers in developing new software programs and applications.

+ Assists with phases of the software development life cycle for assigned projects.

+ Assists with designing, testing, deploying and maintaining one or more software products.

+ Assists in conducting research on emerging application development software projects supporting procurement and development efforts.

+ Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.

+ Assists in designing software or customizing software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

+ Assists in performing software updates and testing.

+ Assists in programming scripts to enhance the functionality of software for assigned projects.

+ Schedule and perform software improvements and updates.

+ Assists in analyzing user needs and developing software solutions.

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor Degree in computer science or related field required.

+ Associate Degree and 2 years related professional experience required or,

+ High School Diploma/GED and 4 years related professional experience required.

+ Knowledge of computer equipment, storage, back-ups, operating systems and tools used in an operating environment required

+ Attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment

+ Effective written and oral communication skills

+ Critical thinking skills

+ Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PPT)

+ Ability to obtain applicable certifications

+ Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.

+ Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.

+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.

+ Performs other duties as assigned

**Compensation**

$79,500.00-125,000.00 Annually

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
