Job Description:
With general direction, sell and service eyewear products by managing existing accounts and developing new prospects consisting of a large variance of industries. Exercise a broad knowledge of the organization's services, products, and marketing techniques to achieve market share growth objectives and operational goals.Develop creative sales strategy to contact prospects to create opportunities to sell products and increase revenueCultivate and develop strong business relationships with customers and prospective customersRepresent eyewear line of business to customer base in all sales-oriented activitiesWork independently, while leveraging appropriate partners, team, and colleagues to exceed quota targets while achieving balanced product line resultsApply innovative ideas, approaches, and all product solutions to customer's business problems by understanding the customers' business and their business requirementsMaintain current working knowledge on existing and new products and services and other general information to ensure accurate information is providedIdentify and communicate future customer requirements and feedback to the appropriate VSP divisionsAct as liaison between various VSP departments and customers to ensure service levels and expectations are met. Collaborate with marketing and product development to address customers' needs and analyze market dataUtilize sales automation system to make inquiries, maintain records, and prepare reportsJob SpecificationsTypically has the following skills or abilities:Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experienceThree plus years of sales experience, with demonstrated account management, servicing, negotiation, and established customer relationshipsResults-driven achiever with exemplary planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientationDemonstrated track record meeting sales/revenue goals with small to medium account responsibilityExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsDemonstrated track record in developing business-to-business relationshipsHighly adaptable, positive, resilient, patient risk-taker who is open to new ideasResourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleaguesInnovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve problemsFlexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent sales opportunitiesExceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writingHighly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervisionExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsMust travel more than 50% of the timeClean driving recordCandidate must reside within the territory. The territory will include New Mexico and West Texas.#LI-MARCHONCompensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions.
