Job Description:A leader in commercial construction, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile commercial construction projects. The Assistant Superintendent will support the project superintendent in the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Superintendent in managing and coordinating all construction activities on-site.
- Ensure that all work complies with design specifications, safety standards, and building codes.
- Supervise and direct subcontractors and laborers, ensuring that work is completed on time and according to quality standards.
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety regulations and conducting safety meetings.
- Monitor project progress, report on schedule, and assist with managing project resources effectively.
- Conduct inspections to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate materials and equipment delivery, tracking inventory to ensure availability and minimize delays.
- Prepare daily reports on project status, issues, and labor productivity.
- Work closely with the project manager to resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during construction.
- Assist with managing project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Assist with coordinating inspections with local authorities and ensuring that all permits are in place.
Assistant Superintendent Qualifications:- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction processes and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
