Description

• Supervise construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints.
• Understand and implement contract specifications and construction drawings.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
• Review the work progress on a daily basis.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
• Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.

Profile

A successful 'Assistant Superintendent' should have:

• Ground up, residential experience is essential and non-negotiable - affordable housing experience would be ideal as would be a DOB license.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
• Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
• Familiarity with construction management software packages.
• Ability to plan and see the big picture .
• Competent in conflict and crisis management.
