Job Description: They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to join their multifamily construction team. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is crucial in supporting the Superintendent and coordinating with various stakeholders to drive the successful completion of multifamily residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Superintendent in managing and coordinating all on-site construction activities
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations
  • Monitor and maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and address any issues promptly
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any construction-related challenges
  • Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, progress reports, and incident reports
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site
  • Support in procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery to avoid project delays
  • Assist in managing project budgets and controlling costs to ensure financial objectives are met
  • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment among all team members and stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, with a focus on multifamily residential projects
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant superintendent role on construction sites
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with diverse teams
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
