Responsibilities:

Berry Global Mankato, MN plant is searching for a night shift Assistant Supervisor to back up or assist the Supervisor in the nightly activities for all shift production employees and production equipment.

  • Assists with the training, upgrading, evaluation and performance reviews of shift personnel.
  • Performs administrative duties as required including maintaining employee attendance records, initiating personnel action forms, writing counseling forms, vacation requests and any other reports as needed.
  • Helps to maintain the safety program to minimize accidents and injuries and to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Must know blown film & troubleshooting.
  • Constantly follows quality and production and makes the necessary decisions to maintain maximum rates with high quality in an efficient time and manner.
  • Coordinates with Maintenance for scheduled shutdowns and repairs in order to achieve the necessary maintenance work with the minimum operational losses.
  • Inspects each line and checks the product is being run according to the specifications of the job; takes corrective action to resolve problems.
  • Closes out production work orders and records production on a daily report.
  • Forecast equipment for future orders.
  • Provides safety ideas and recommendations.
  • Prefer experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Adequate computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Provides Safety Frontline Leadership

High school diploma or equivalent or five years of blown film manufacturing experience. Good written and verbal communications skills are required. Computer and mechanical background a plus.

Work schedule: 12 hour rotating night shift; 6 pm to 6 am

We offer a friendly, team orientated environment, competitive salary and a full benefit package.

Starting wage $28.90 per hour.
