What you get to do:
* Complete opening, operating, and closing procedures daily
* Establish and maintain a positive atmosphere which ensures the highest level of ambassador performance and guest service while enforcing and complying with safety procedures and guidelines.
* Supervise, train and counsel ambassadors while ensuring proper training and development in accordance with SEA guidelines; such as minor infractions (i.e., attendance, grooming, etc.).
* Accurately track ambassador labor to include daily scheduling and break management.
* Comply with area opening and closing procedures and ensures all ambassadors complete tasks within a timely manner.
* Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any opportunities to improve
* Maintain inventory and stock/replace areas supplies and equipment as needed
* Communicate effectively with other areas within the department as well as other departments in the park
* Cross train at Busch Gardens to assist with a variety of roles during off season
What it takes to succeed:
* Be at least 18 years old.
* Have a valid high school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid driver's license and able to meet company's driving guidelines
* Be able to provide approved footwear (i.e., approved non-slip sneaker shoes, specified color requirements, etc.) upon first date of employment.
* Have a minimum of three (3) months park experience with no significant performance deficiencies within that period or equivalent 3 months external leadership industry experience.
* Be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements.
* Be able to perform job duties/task and meet the minimum qualifications of the positions within the scope of supervision.
* Have working knowledge of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Provide excellent guest service to guests and ambassadors.
* Be able to walk and stand for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
* Be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.
* At least 3 days of unrestricted availability including weekends (1 must be between Saturday-Sunday) and holidays during the non-peak season.
* At least 4 days of unrestricted availability including weekends (1 must be between Saturday-Sunday) and holidays during peak season (Memorial thru Labor Day).
* Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations.
* Be willing to comply with and ensure ambassadors comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
* Able to lift or move 75lbs
* Able to complete provided CPR/AED training/certification
* Able to climb stairs/ladders
* Comfortable with operating Air Blowers/Pressure washers and other general heavy equipment for cleaning
* Comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
* Able to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
* Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members
