Yoh has an exciting, full-time opportunity for a Assistant Survey Project Manager to oversee survey operations for our Civil Engineering client. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of overall surveying experience and live within a commutable distance to the office NYC, New York for an onsite environment. Title: Assistant Survey Project Manager Compensation: $80,000-$95,000/year (depending on experience level) Type: Full Time Responsibilities: Facilitate the development and oversight of survey field crews, CAD Drafters, Survey Technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Establish and maintain effective communication channels across all teams and business units. Assist in managing the financial aspects of survey projects, including contract preparation, generating billing reports, managing invoicing, and overseeing collections. Perform detailed boundary analysis and computations for various survey types using cutting-edge software tools, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Oversee construction stakeout services, ensuring meticulous field setup and stringent quality control measures to meet project specifications and timelines. Conduct thorough quality control reviews of all survey documents, including plans, plots, descriptions, and title commitment reports, ensuring adherence to project requirements and client expectations. Provide invaluable support in client meetings, conference calls, and coordination efforts, fostering strong client relationships and enhancing project outcomes. Actively contribute to business development initiatives by identifying potential clients, attending marketing events/conferences, and nurturing existing client relationships to drive growth opportunities. Assist in contract preparation and provide daily oversight of project workflow, staffing, and deadlines under the guidance of the Project Manager, ensuring project milestones are achieved effectively. Undertake any additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of survey operations. Qualifications: 8 years of hands-on experience in surveying, with demonstrated leadership abilities and 2-3 years of management experience. Bachelor's Degree in related industry (or equivalent working experience) Exhibit proficiency in utilizing advanced surveying software tools, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, to drive project success and efficiency. Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues at all organizational levels. Showcase strong problem-solving skills, enabling you to thrive in fast-paced environments and effectively manage competing priorities. Display excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Show a proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes and exceeding client expectations. Embrace technology and demonstrate proficiency in using various computer applications and software tools to support survey operations effectively.
