Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA is seeking assistant swim coachesWe are looking for individuals interested in coaching competitive swim team and who are responsible, motivated and want to work in a fast pace environment.Under the direction of the Director of Competitive Aquatics, assistant coaches will develop and reinforce technique standards as well as run workouts with the designated practice groups.Essential Functions:* Instruct a group of swimmers in accordance with YMCA guidelines and practice plans designed by the Director of Competitive Aquatics or Head Age Group Coaches* Build effective, authentic relationships with swimmers and parents* Provide positive, encouraging and specific feedback on daily basis in regard to technique* Maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, pool deck and surrounding areas* Attend assigned dual meets, invitational meets and championship meets* Attend meetings, clinics, banquets, fundraisers, and other team social functions as required* Perform other duties as assignedBenefits of working for the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA include: Free YMCA membership; flexible schedules; job training and career development opportunities; a fun, friendly and inclusive work environment and more
