We're Furnishing Knowledge.The Process Control Tech position is a role intended to assist the Production Coordinator and the Lean Process Manager to help ensure production technicians have product needed to maintain production at all times, as well as ensure downtime tracking and quality information is documented. This position also serves as a backup to the Production Coordinator.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProduction Activities
- Support the Production Coordinator with conveying of goals, huddle information and helping with decisions related to job rotation
- Set-up jobs for the department
- Sort and locate parts to complete orders
- Monitor daily production
- Coordinate the packaging/skidding of parts/items
- Support training of technicians
- Assist the Production Coordinator to ensure all technicians are supplied with what is needed to continue completing orders, schedules are maintained, downtime and quality issues are documented, and production display boards are maintained.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen events, layout planning, Value Stream Mapping as events happen)
- Provide suggestions for continuous improvement
- Monitor productivity and downtime issues to provide suggestions
- Be open to changes occurring to improve processes
Safety
- Maintain a clean/safe working environment
- Report any unsafe working conditions or equipment
- Maintain Safety as the highest priority
QUALIFICATIONSEducation
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
- Prior leadership experience helpful
Work Environment
- Work is in the Manufacturing facility which is not climate controlled. Temperatures are cold in winter months and can get very hot/humid in summer months.
- Loud noise up to 100% of time
- Work near moving mechanical parts up to 75% of time.
