A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a new Lead Clinician/ Assistant Team Leader to join their growing Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team.Responsibilities:
- Counseling and Therapy: Provide individual and group therapy to clients, addressing mental health challenges, coping strategies, and personal development.
- Clinical Oversight: Collaborate with the Team Leader to oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling and case management.
- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Coordinate comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Crisis Intervention: Deliver immediate support to clients in crisis, implementing strategies to stabilize situations and ensure safety.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance activities and ensure adherence to program policies and best practices.
- Community Liaison: Act as a liaison to community resources, educating clients and families about available support services.
- Team Supervision: Mentor and supervise team members, promoting professional development and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work or a related field; valid clinical license preferred (open to MSW candidates pending licensing).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health, preferably within ACT or mobile crisis settings.
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic modalities and best practices for SMI and SUD populations.
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
