Detailed Position Description
St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting rsums for two part-time positions of Assistant Track & Field Coach for overseeing throwing events. The Assistant Track & Field Coach oversees throwing events and is responsible for assisting in the management of all phases of highly competitive NCAA Division III Track & Field programs, which includes recruitment of qualified student-athletes; coaching of assigned events during practice and competition for men's and women's programs; administration, organization, and evaluation of all aspects of the program; and adherence to all NCAA Division III conference and institutional policies and procedures. This is a part-time contingent position with no benefits provided.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, and knowledge of NCAA and UEC rules and regulations. Must possess a valid driver's license, ability to travel and work nights and weekends required, and ability to lift approximately thirty (30) pounds. Preferred qualifications include experience in collegiate coaching and Certified Level One by the USATF or USTFCCCA. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
