This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies and policies.
- Monitor and analyze financial markets to optimize investment opportunities.
- Take ownership of pricing loans and deposits, working with the Treasurer, business lines and risk department to ensure competitive and profitable rates aligned with strategic objectives. This includes:
- Maintaining and developing financial models related to loan pricing across all commercial and consumer lending products.
- Supporting relationship managers to provide clients with well-structured and appropriately priced solutions.
- Advise on loan and deposit pricing matters for all products including money markets and time deposits and the various channels used by the Bank for gathering deposits, including, retail, commercial and wealth.
- Assist in managing the bank's investment portfolio. Partner with established brokers to assist with managing the Bank's investment portfolio.
- Provide support in the preparation of presentations for senior management and the board of directors. This includes reporting packages for Asset-Liability Committee, Investment Committee and Board of Director's meetings.
- Advise on regulatory issues related to interest rate risk, capital management and liquidity management. Provide research on new regulations, their impact on the Bank, and partner with business lines to implement related changes.
- Assist with managing the Bank's derivatives portfolio including cash flow and back-to-back swap programs.
- Participate in financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those set by the Federal Reserve, FDIC, CFPB, and other regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Bank Treasury, Finance, or a related area.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, risk management, and regulatory requirements for community and regional banks.
- Experience with interest rate swaps, reporting, stress testing and collateral requirements.
- Strong understanding of financial models related to asset liability management and pricing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to create executive level presentations.
- Proficiency in financial modelling software, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
