The Assistant Vice President of Finance and Decision Support, Tulane School of Medicine plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial management, business planning, and decision support functions within the school. This role provides high-level financial leadership, ensuring that all financial reporting, modeling, budgeting, and accounting processes align with institutional goals, compliance standards, and best practices. The position requires an experienced data-driven financial executive capable of driving process improvements by leveraging technology, supporting strategic decision-making, and optimizing funds flow and resource management while focusing on financial performance across the patient care, research, education, and administrative missions of multiple business units and service lines within Tulane Medicine. Proven track record of financial leadership in a large, complex academic or healthcare environment.
* Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement.
* Experience with ERP systems, particularly Oracle Cloud Financials, and a solid understanding of financial controls, compliance, and governance.
* Exceptional ability to collaborate with senior leadership, manage cross-functional teams, and drive change in financial operations.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence decisions at the executive level.
* Master's Degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 10 or more years of progressive experience as a manager or director.
* Experience as an accounting professional specializing in the health care or education industry may be substituted.
* CPA or equivalent certification
