ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview:The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Marketing plays a key role in shaping and advancing the company's culture and brand within their region, while driving marketing performance across a portfolio of communities. As the leader of the regional marketing team, the AVP will be responsible for ensuring high-impact marketing strategies, fostering strong client relationships, and contributing to business growth. This position is a core member of the regional leadership team and reports directly to national Vice President of Marketing & Communications.Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a team of marketing directors, setting long-term an dshort-term goals while fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner with VPs, Regional Managers, Business Managers, and onsite teams to deliver exceptional marketing campaigns that exceed client expectations.
- Project Oversight: Collaborate with design agencies and marketing directors on new construction and rebranding projects, providing creative direction and managing projecjt timelines, collateral creation, website production, and more.
- Budget Management: Oversee the Marketing department's budgets and offer strategic guidance on property marketing budgets, working closely with regional teams.
- Digital Strategy: Work with the Digital Strategy Team to monitor and enhance all paid marketing campaigns for better performance.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with marketing vendors and key stakeholders, including ownership groups and asset managers, providing insights into marketing performance.
- Strategic Planning: Develop marketing materials for new business proposals and collaborate with the national marketing team to align with company-wide objectives.
- Career Development: Build and maintain professional growth plans for marketing directors, identifying opportunities for team development and performance improvement.
- Market Reseach & Innovation: Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities, develop innovative strategies, and align marketing efforts with local market conditions.
- Training & Best Practices: Provide ongoing training and support to regional and local teams to implement best practices and ensure consistent execution of company-wide initiatives.
- Industry Engagement: Stay at the forefront of industry trends by attending company meetings and industry conferences, while preparing award submissions to highlight exceptional achievements.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for 10+ years of experience in multifamily marketing.
- Expertise in SEM, SMM, web analytics, and Google AdWords, with hands-on experience using CRM software and digital marketing tools.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Workspace, and Canva.
- Proven track record of developing and executing strategic marketing plans that deliver measurable results.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas persuasively to senior executives, teams, and clients.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, particularly with operations management.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence teams.
- Willingness to travel and flexibility to work non-traditional hours as needed.
